Lowbury Construction Limited was appointed to undertaking the role of the main civil design and build contractor responsible for undertaking the complete design and construction of the contract works comprising civil, structural, architectural (and other duties as described by Northern Powergrid contract documentation/specification) including temporary works.
New foundations for new cable sealing ends in the existing Northern Powergrid
132kV sub-station compound and temporary CT works. These works were undertaken within the live site with appropriate Northern Powergrid authorisations required.
Exterior wall envelopes typically comprised of facing brick and block insulated cavity dwarf walls up to the lowest sheeting rail level on the wall elevation.
Foundations, Roofing and Cladding including rainwater goods. firefighting systems and fire alarms.
Site security systems and access control.
Low Voltage plant and equipment forming part of the Building Services Installation.
Fencing and gate design including all associated civil work.
Precast concrete elements.
Structural steelwork connections. Steelwork fabrication drawings. Cold rolled metal stud wall/support systems. Purlins and cladding rails.
Sealing of cable, electrical switchgear.
• Building wall, floor, ceiling and roof penetrations.
Construction stage site working platform, suitable for all construction plant, crane Loads and materials storage.
Design and Procurement of GIS building crane, all crane ancillaries, control & instrumentation, power installation.
Installation of overhead crane and crane beams
Testing & commissioning and all associated civil works
First floor comprises of solid pre-stressed units with a composite concrete topping.
New build included toilet facilities
Security fencing and landscape completed by Lowbury construction.
Lowbury designed and completed all external staff parking drainage secure fencing and soft & hard Landscaping
