Project Description:

The construction of the existing concrete service yard was sub-standard and did not comply
with modern standards.

Lowbury were appointed to upgrade & rectify works required phased removal and replacement of the entire concrete yard area.

Works Included:

  • Site set up and formation of CDM working area
  • Install temporary access points between car park and HGV yard
  • Implement the traffic management plan (5 phases)
  • Complete CAT scan and mark up existing services
  • Carefully break out the defective slabs, remove and cart way
  • Excavate and remove unsuitable ground/material to a depth of 200mm
  • Trim level and consolidate surface
  • Supply and lay 200mm of MOT 1 blinded withand and consolidate
  • Place visqueen grade 1200 to surface
  • Supply and fix mesh reinforcement
  • Supply and lay new concrete to a depth of 200mm vibrate and tamp and leave ready for brush finish

  • Identify, protect and maintain drainage throughout the works
  • Allow for saw cutting concrete adjacent to aco channel
  • Drill and dowel to connect to adjoining bays all as detailed
  • Carefully remove concrete adjacent to perimeter kerbs to be retained and leave ready for new finish
